Jasmine Plants - Fragrance Beyond Description

Visit www.whiteflowerfarm.com for more information. David Smith was one of White Flower Farms first employees and director of horticulture from 19541990. He kindly spent several days at the nursery in the summer of 2007, recounting his adventures with plants and people. He grew up in Shropshire, England, where his father was head gardener at Weston Park. It was on a trip back to England to visit his family that he obtained one of our signature holiday plants, the exquisitely fragrant vine, Jasminum polyanthum. In late spring, rooted Jasmine cuttings are potted in our greenhouse. They grow rapidly—up to 6 inches a day. As the season progresses, we carefully pinch new shoots back to develop strong, bushy plants. Pinching stops in early fall and the flower buds appear soon thereafter. Shipping begins in mid-November, weather permitting. Visit whiteflowerfarm.com for more information.
